香港近月移民者眾，多國開放特別移居途徑予港人。立陶宛外交部向《立場新聞》表示，立陶宛或將為香港居民提供簡化移民程序。
曾於去年被拒入境香港的美國戰地記者 Michael Yon，周四（8 日）於 Twitter 上表示立陶宛外交部副部長 Mantas Adomenas 於其辦公室向他說，會加快處理欲移居立陶宛的港人。消息一直未獲立陶宛官方證實。周六（10 日），立陶宛接受《立場》查詢時指，或有可能，在不久將來，根據現有的規則以及因應個別情況，為香港居民提供簡化移民程序。
此外，Michael Yon 亦有在 twitter 提到，香港人可「前往任何一家（立陶宛）大使館，立陶宛會幫忙；（港人）若沒有護照，他們會在旅行文件上提供協助。」這一點《立場》亦有向立陶宛查詢，但未獲回覆。
Michael Yon 接受《立場》訪問時表示，副部長的確明確向他指出，會為港人提供快捷的處理途徑 (fast track)。他希望立陶宛會接收很多香港人，又表示，希望他自己的國家美國能接收 10 萬港人。
Michael Yon 曾來港採訪反修例示威，他於去年 2 月於 twitter 稱自己從泰國坐飛機來港，但被入境處拒絕入境，對方並無解釋原因，他被遣返泰國。
11 日上午，行政長官林鄭月娥表示，尊重港人移民決定，但相信港人離開一段日子後，會感到香港好處。
